Her Time was co-founded by Detective Anisha Parhar and Sergeant Sandy Avelar, who serve the community with the Vancouver Police Department.
It was clear from their experiences in the gang crime unit, that more needed to be done to provide education and resources to females involved in, vulnerable to or victimized by the world of organized crime. They have dedicated countless hours of their own time to present key information to youth, train other agencies and provide individual supports.

The Washington Kids Foundation is extremely excited and committed to partnering with Her Time to offer regular preventative programming and connections for youth.
The program takes a strengths-based approach to empower young females to stay safe and healthy while achieving remarkable things in their lives. The foundational pillars of the Her Time program are organized into a playbook that focuses on positive relationships, healthy living, financial independence, goal setting and personal safety.
Please join us to support youth in our communities through the impressive and impactful Her Time program.
Sincerely,
Anisha, Sandy,
& The Washington Kids Foundation Team
